Your health is very important, and it is influenced the most by two factors: how active you are and what you eat. Luckily for you, you can influence both of these things! Therefore, if you want to keep yourself healthy and lower your high blood pressure, make some changes to what you eat.

There are certain types of food that will affect your blood pressure, so make sure you avoid them if they rise the blood pressure or use them more if they are known for lowering the blood pressure.

For example, people with high blood pressure should take in more potassium, as it will bring down the pulse and lower the blood pressure. Potassium is found in leafy green vegetables and tomatoes.

Also, if you want to lower your blood pressure, avoid sodium, and salt. Also, there is a lot of sodium in processed foods and a lot of ingredients that add flavor to processed food which affects your health and your high blood pressure.

People who have high blood pressure should eat dark chocolate since it contains flavonols which makes in veins more flexible and reduces high blood pressure.

Exercise

As it has been previously mentioned you will need to keep yourself active and really devote some time to physical activity during the day and during the week. This will affect your overall health, but it will also contribute to lowering your blood pressure and making you healthier in general.

Visits To Your GP

Of course, you should make regular visits to your GP and make sure that your health is in order. Your GP is the most competent person to give you personalized advice on what to do and not to do in order to take great care of your health and you should definitely ask for their advice.
